COMPUTERS- HIGHSPEED/BROADBAND-
The term
‘broadband’ is generally described as a permanent high-speed
network connection with data speeds in excess of 128 kilobits
per second (Kbps). If you still use your internal dial-up modem
then you don’t have Broadband. Some ISP’s (internet service
provider) charge you extra for what they call
HIGHSPEED or BROADBAND dial-up
service. This is not broadband and you most likely will not see
much of an increase in speed. The phone company’s DSL is
spreading out more and more as they update the phone lines and
is what I recommend if you can get it. Next would be Cable but
it is more expensive then DSL. Wild Blue satellite internet is
a way to go if you can’t get the others.
